Frequently Asked Questions

What time should I arrive?

Doors will open at 4:30pm, so that the ceremony can begin promptly at 5:00pm. The ceremony will take place in the chapel, and is scheduled to correspond with sunset, so please be sure to be seated by 4:50pm.

Where should I park?

Canyonwood Ridge has a parking lot directly in front of the venue. Thankfully, there is ample parking, so no need to worry about finding a spot.

What is the dress code?

Semi formal. Ladies, think knee length or midi cocktail dresses, or long flowy maxi dresses in lighter fabrics. Men, think dress pants/dress shirt, sports coat or suit.

Are children invited?

Karlei & Steve love all of your kiddos and while they would love for your entire family to celebrate with them, to keep it more intimate, (aside from the immediate family and out of town guests), they have requested adults only.

Are photos allowed at the ceremony?

Karlei & Steve’s photographer and videographer will capture all of the special moments during the ceremony, so please keep your phones/cameras put away. That said, there will be a moment during the ceremony where you will be given an opportunity to snap a quick picture.

Are photos allowed at the reception?

Absolutely! There will also be QR Codes at every table for you to immediately upload your pictures so that Steve & Karlei can enjoy looking at them after the wedding.

What will the weather be like?

Generally, the weather is mild and pleasant with average temperatures ranging from the low 60’s to low 70’s (Farenheit), with cool nights.

Will there be dancing?

Not only is it a “school night,” but neither Karlei or Steve like to dance—so no need to pack your dancing shoes.
